Go Apiary!

Nestled on the edge of a wood in North Hertfordshire, our apiary provides an excellent sheltered location and good forage for our bees including Lime tree (Linden), Wildflowers, Hedgerow brambles, Field Bean and Rapeseed flowers.

  • Our Amazing Bees.

K&N Honey bees are local bees, reared by us in our own Hertfordshire apiaries giving the bees the best possible chance to succeed, not just for us as beekeepers but also for the colony itself and the amazing beneficial work that they carry out.

  • Eco Friendly.

We all know how important it is to reduce our impact on the environment and with that principle we have created all our packaging to be either recyclable, bio-degradable or compostable. We will not use plastic at all!

  • Delicious & Good for our Planet.

The health benefits of raw Herts honey have been well documented by many respected sources but perhaps more important than the health benefits of raw honey are the environmental benefits the natural sweetener provides. This includes responsible management of indigenous pollinating bee populations, water security and more…

  • Meet the Queen.

The Queen Bee plays a crucial role in the hive, but unlike most monarchs she is not the ruler. However, as the Queen she is constantly attended to by a “court” of worker bees. These workers feed and groom her and the constant care of her attendants enables the queen and the colony of bees to thrive.

Happy honey lovers…

Perfect with Cheese

Raw Herts honey pairs perfectly with any type of cheese, however, some are especially delectable with honey. These include Brie, blue cheese, goat cheese, or any tangy or acidic mature cheese. Ricotta drizzled with honey is great for an alternative breakfast or even as a dessert. Brie with figs is especially good…our favourite!
